Birmingham T1D Family Party (January 12, 2025, 2:00PM-4:00PM) - FREE
Join your T1D friends as we kick off 2025 on Sunday, January 12 in a scientific way at the McWane Science Center! This FREE event promises fun for all ages. Siblings & family members are invited & encouraged to attend. Adventure Hall Wristbands and parking will be included and snacks will be provided. It will run from 2-4pm at McWane Science Center (200 19th St N; Birmingham, AL 35203).
Upon Arrival, park on level C in the McWane Science Center parking deck and enter through the Special Events Entrance! You will receive a free parking token at the event.

Birmingham Day Camp (July 07 - 11, 2025, 8:00AM-4:00PM) - $175
This one-week day only camp provides fun with new T1D friends. There is also an option to register campers to stay overnight on Wednesday and Thursday nights! Campers learn how to be independent in a medically-supervised, interactive, camp setting. Lunch, snacks, and most diabetes supplies (including insulin) are provided with the exception of pump supplies and CGM supplies. One sibling or friend may also register for this program. Bus transportation from Samford University is available daily for this program, or you can drop off/pick up at camp site in Chelsea. Summer Family Weekend (May 09 - 11, 2025) - $425
Summer Family Camp promises fun for the whole family. Located at Camp ASCCA on north Lake Martin in Jackson’s Gap, Alabama, your family can experience the same camp site where your kid could come to overnight Senior or Junior camp on their own in June.. Campers gain quality education time with medical professionals and seasonal recreation activities for the whole family, like boating, zip lining, crafts, putt putt golf, family games and swimming. Parents also get a break while kids enjoy supervised activities and get to know other T1D friends. Family weekend camps are great for first-time campers, newly diagnosed, and returning families connecting with T1D friends and learning the latest advancements. Each family has their own air conditioned lodge room with twin/bunk beds. All meals and snacks are provided. Each family is responsible for insulin and all other medical supplies while at camp.
Fall Family Weekend (October 24 - 26, 2025) - $425
Fall Family Camp is a favorite that fills up early, and promises fun for the whole family. Located at Camp ASCCA on north Lake Martin in Jackson’s Gap, Alabama, your family can experience the same camp site where your kid could come to overnight Senior or Junior camp on their own in June.. Parents also get a break while kids enjoy supervised activities and get to know other T1D friends. Family weekend camps are great for first-time campers, newly diagnosed, and returning families connecting with T1D friends and learning the latest advancements. Each family has their own air conditioned/heated lodge room with twin/bunk beds. All meals and snacks are provided. Each family is responsible for insulin and all other medical supplies while at camp.
Senior Camp (June 01 - 06, 2025) - $800
Campers will stay in air-conditioned cabins with other T1D campers their age. Cabin sizes range from 6-8 campers with 2 counselors. T1D children and teens will learn to become more independent and confident in their diabetes care. Senior camp is supervised by a full medical staff who assist your T1D in medication doses, insulin pumps and injections, midnight blood sugar checks, and more. Activities at Senior Camp include swimming, tubing, waterslides, crafts, fishing, zip line, and sports/games. All meals, snacks, and most diabetes supplies (including insulin) are provided with the exception of pump and CGM supplies. Campers learn to live well with diabetes and make friendships that will last forever!
Junior Camp (June 08 - 13, 2025) - $800
Campers will stay in air-conditioned cabins with other T1D campers their age. Cabin sizes range from 6-8 campers with 2 counselors and 1-2 CITs. T1D children will learn to become more independent and confident in their diabetes care. Junior camp is supervised by a full medical staff who assist your T1D in medication doses, insulin pumps and injections, midnight blood sugar checks, and more. Activities at Junior Camp include swimming, tubing, waterslides, crafts, fishing, zip line, and sports/games. All meals, snacks, and most diabetes supplies (including insulin) are provided with the exception of pump and CGM supplies. Campers learn to live well with diabetes and make friendships that will last forever!

This is a FREE Family Event and will include Ice Skating at the Village of Baytowne Wharf (9100 Baytowne Wharf Blvd, Miramar Beach, FL 32550). Make sure to dress in warm clothes! All ages are welcome. The event will run from 9am – 11am on Saturday, January 25th.

Parents also get a break while kids enjoy supervised activities and get to know other T1D friends. Coastal Camp (July 20 - 25, 2025) - $500
Campers will stay in air-conditioned cabins with other T1D campers their age. Cabin sizes range from 6-8 campers with 2 counselors. T1D children and teens will learn to become more independent and confident in their diabetes care. Coastal Camp Seale Harris is supervised by a full medical staff who assist your T1D in medication doses, insulin pumps and injections, midnight blood sugar checks, and more. Activities at Coastal Camp include canoeing, waterslides, crafts, fishing, ropes course, and sports/games. All meals, snacks, and most diabetes supplies (including insulin) are provided with the exception of pump and CGM supplies. Campers learn to live well with diabetes and make friendships that will last forever! Bus transport from Pensacola may be available for this session. Mobile Day Camp (July 21 - 25, 2025, 8:00AM-4:00PM) - $175

Teen Leadership Forum (February 14 - 17, 2025) - $250
Designed for teenagers who are currently in 9th through 12th grade. Campers will stay in cabins with adequate heating/cooling and participate in activities such as canoeing, archery, sports/games, and more. The camp will include intentional opportunities for participants to develop teamwork, independence, self‐confidence, leadership skills, and make life‐long friends. It’s where teens grow, connect, and are inspired to live well. All meals, snacks, and most diabetes supplies (including insulin) are provided with the exception of pump and CGM supplies.
