One-week day camps provide local fun with new T1D friends. Campers learn independence and new diabetes care skills in a medically-supervised, interactive, camp setting. A sibling or friend may also register for day camps. Activities vary by location.
Held in Birmingham, Dothan, Huntsville, Mobile, and Tuscaloosa, programs include swimming, sports, games, and crafts. One sibling/friend may also register and pay to attend. Mobile Day Camp provides bus transportation from select locations. Birmingham Day Camp provides bus transportation from Samford University.
